My Trip to Shinouk Ville with my ex-collegue at Acleda

Even though, I have stopped working at Acleda Bank, I still have communication with some of my ex-collegue. And on 29 Dec 2008, I have been invited to joint the trip to Shihanouk ville with them. My New Job at National Bank of Cambodia

So far, I have been working at NBC for nearly two months after i resigned from my previous job at Acleda. My position at NBC is an Inspector and my duties are controlling the operation of all the commercial banks which operate their banking service in Cambodia. There 3 main reasons that inspire me to work here.

First: Self Improvement
I believe that working at NBC will improve my general knowleage ralated to the bank. Tell you the truth I want to learn something new. And afer working here for a few months, i realized that i have really learnt something.

Second: Freedom
If i compare working here with my old place, i found that working here has more freedom than the old one. For instance like working hour, regulation, uniform,... etc.

Third: Opportunity to Study Abroad
I always tell myself that i have to get scholarship to study abroad and the country which i have interested most is Australia and Singapore. In or order to apply those opportunities, at least i have to work here more than two years. Nowadays, I have planed my self to achive my goal. I realized that most of employees working at NBC have studied abroad such as Japan, Australia, Korea, German,.....

Election Day in Cambodia

On 27 July 2008, Cambodia has celebrated the national election to choose the parliamentarian for the fourth-mandate government with joining by 11 parties. Before the election day, all the 11 parties have done the election campaign for one month to attract their fans. Among all the parties, there are only 5 which is very popular: Cambodian People Party, Sam Rainsy Party, Funsipec Party, Norodom Ranrith Party, and Human Right Party.

Depend on the result which was declered by National Committee for Election, CPP gets 91 seats, SRP gets 26 seats, HMR gets 3 seat, NRP gets 2 seats, and FP gets 1 seats.

My Praticum is over !!!

I'm really disappointed with my practicum result. You know, i can not do it well. It seems that what i have done in my lesson plan does not match to the real teaching at all. Moreover, i feel nervous a little bit at the starting point. Even calling the students' name is also not clear. And, there are a lot comments from associated teacher and my friend such as:
- looked no confident
- no close rapport between teacher and students
- no willing to teach
- feel nervous
- look at the clock too often
- wrong spelling
- bad prepare for listening
- .......................................... :-(

However, i can know that these are my weak points. So next time, if i have chance to teach again, I will improve all these points. And i expect that the result will be better .... ;-)

Live for ourself or for the others ?

I always ask myself that nowadays i'm living for myself or for the others. Why i ask myself like this? U no, i have losed my freedom since i got a job at Acleda Bank. I can not do whatever i want anymore. I have to respect the regulation of the Bank. Cut short hair, wear uniform, .... Because of the job, i have sold my freedom to the bank. Do u think am i right ? Is it the life ? Now i'm living for the bank not for myself. I feel that i really get too much pressure. To be honest, i always wish any kind of job which does not limit my freedom.

Working In Acleda Bank

So far I have worked in Acleda Bank for nearly one year. My present position is Remittance and my duty is booking the money tranfer from oversea into the customer account by using Swift System. Working in this area has very high risk too. I rememer one day one of the staff in Treasury Department has given me a duplicate document which result in double booking too.
But luckily, i knew it in advace. If i didn't know it, i would pay back to the bank. It a nightmare fo me. I wish i will not meet that case again.

Since i have job, i think there are a lot thing have changed. First, i have my own money ( now my salary is 230$ per month). With this amount of money, i can live idependently. However, it still can not satisfied my mind. I still need much more money. Now i try to look for another job which can provide me more than my present salary. Sometime, i feel i want to work in Korea. I heard that working there , we can get salary between 1000$ to 2500$ per month. I really want to try. Second, since i have a job, i feel that i lost one valuable thing which is my personal freedom. You know , they require me to cut the short hair all the time. Tell you the truth, i really hate it so much. I always wish that if i had enough money to start my own bussiness, i would resign as soon as possible.
